First off, we wanted to start off by thanking you all for the support you’ve shown this year (and beyond) and are super thrilled for what the future academic year holds for the Comets Esports Program! Please refer to the following announcement post as we will be updating it the most up-to-date changes & information in regards to our Fall 2020 Tryouts & Student Staff Applications for the Comets Esports Program.

COMETS ESPORTS PROGRAM STUDENT-ATHLETE TRYOUTS
The UT Dallas Esports Team & Program is sending out this interest form for current full-time students at The University of Texas at Dallas to fill out to show their “interest” in trying out for our program for the fall semester. We have finalized our 2020-2021 athletic teams! Please refer to the Esports Team Roster page for a list of our student-athletes.
For those interested in trying out for one of our teams for next semester/next year, here is the full information:
1. We will only be having tryouts AT THE START OF THE FALL SEMESTER and we will be filling as necessary in the Spring (meaning we will no longer be holding tryouts in the Spring Semester).
2. All tryouts will still be online (meaning you’ll need to have a good internet connection and computer for this).
3. If you are graduating at the conclusion of the Fall semester, you are not allowed to tryout for the team. You MUST be a Full-Time Student for the entirety of the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters in order to tryout.Dates:
(All M-F)
LoL – July 13th – July 17th
OW – July 20th – July 24th
RL – July 27th – July 31st
Smash – Tryouts by SignupREQUIREMENTS:
League of Legends – You MUST be Diamond 3+ or higher for this current competitive season.
Overwatch – You MUST be Master or higher for this current ranked season.
Rocket League – You MUST be Grand Champion or higher for this current ranked season.
Smash Ultimate – You MUST have high level tournament experience
Here are the requirements per game and this includes anyone already on a team:
Overwatch (PC Only) – Masters +
League of Legends (PC Only) – Diamond 3 +
Rocket League (PC Only) – GC+
Smash Ultimate (Switch) – Significantly Strong Local Results

The UT Dallas Esports Team & Program is recruiting a passionate team of full-time students to help lead the program for the upcoming 2020-2021 year. Please review below the job descriptions below for each position before applying! We have picked our Student Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers and Student Social Content Coordinator! Refer to the Esports Team Roster & Program Staff pages!
