2023 Summer Gaming Camps

• Play in the UTD esports facility with brand newstate of the art gaming PCs.

• Get hands-on experience in our professionally equipped broadcast studio and learn safe, best-practices when it comes to content creation and livestreaming.

• Explore campus and learn about esports at the University of Texas at Dallas.

• Meet members of the varsity UTD Esports program.

• Make new friends and discover new games in a casual, fun-focused environment. ***Note that these camps are intended to be fun, entertaining, and educational though not necessarily for mechanical improvement/intense training.***

• Each camp is a week long, Monday through Friday from 8AM – 5PM for grades K-12. Students will be split into different pods (groups of up to 6) based around age groups.

• All gaming equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring your own peripherals.

• Lunch will not be provided, but you can bring your own from home or purchase food from one of the dining options in the Student Union where we are located.

Sample Schedule:
9:00AM – Freeplay and Board Games

10:00AM – Introduction to Minecraft

11:00 AM – Minecraft Gameplay

12:00PM – Lunch

1:00PM – Broadcast Production/Streaming Workshop

2:00PM – Broadcast Production/Streaming Workshop

3:00PM – Minecraft Gameplay + Minigames

4:00PM – Freeplay and Board Games

5:00PM – End of Day

We will have a mix of games that we play which is in part determined by the interest of the students and age-appropriate. Some of the games we will play are Rocket League, Minecraft, Super Smash Bros, Fortnite, etc… Note, we will send out an email prior to the start of camps for parents to select which games they are comfortable with their children playing.
