UTD Esports – Summer Gaming Camp 2024

*Note that these camps are intended to be fun, entertaining, and educational… Not for intensive game-specific training.
• Play in the UTD Esports facility with brand new, state of the art gaming PCs.
• Get hands-on experience and learn about a variety of topics ranging from safe streaming practices in our professionally equipped broadcast studio to how to stay calm and keep a positive mindset when playing.
• Explore campus and discover life at the University of Texas at Dallas.
• Meet members of the varsity UTD Esports program.
• Make new friends and discover new games in a casual, fun-focused environment.
There will be 3 different sessions this summer:

Each camp is a week long, Monday through Friday from 9AM – 5PM (with an hour grace period before and after) for ages 7-17. Students will be split into different pods (groups of up to 6) based around age groups.
All gaming equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring your own peripherals.
Lunch will not be provided, but you can bring your own from home or purchase food from one of the dining options in the Student Union where we are located.

11:00 AM – Fortnite Gameplay
12:00PM – Lunch
1:00PM – Design a Video Game Workshop
2:00PM – Design a Video Game Workshop
3:00PM – Fortnite Minigames and Tournament
4:00PM – Freeplay and Board Games
5:00PM – End of Day
There will be a variety of games that we play which is, in part, determined by the interest of the students attending. Some examples of the games that we will play are Rocket League, Minecraft, Super Smash Bros, Fortnite, etc.
