How do I join a team?

UTD Esports typically holds tryouts during late July/early August, before the beginning of the fall semester, and will announce when tryout applications are live. Tryout forms typically go up around May. Students who meet the minimum requirements1 for the team they wish to join will be invited to a tryout period, and coaches will observe their performance over multiple days. Rosters will typically be announced within a week after tryouts have been concluded.

1Students must meet basic academic requirements, which includes being enrolled as a full-time student (12 hours for undergraduates, 9 for graduates) and maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0. They must ALSO meet the minimum rank requirements of the current season in the game they wish to try out for.
